Expanses by Léuli Eshrāghi is a reflection on centring all living things in ways of seeing and knowing in the world, particularly measures of land, ocean, wind, plant and more, from the specific position of a diasporic child of the Great Ocean. The work imagines how to vocalise lifeforce with Kwartatuma and Rungutjirpa as two significant Arrernte places west of the colonial town of Alice Springs set in the sacred landscape of Mparntwe.
